Jerry Jones charges dropped in return for DNA test

The plaintiff, 25-year-old Alexandra Davis claims that Jones is her father from a relationship with her mother in the 1990s. Rather than sue Jones, Davis is reportedly seeking genetic testing to determine the truth.
Davis’ attorney Jay Gray told the Dallas Morning News that she intends to use DNA testing to confirm once her parentage once and for all. If true, it would legally establish Jones as her father.
“Alexandra has just decided that she wants to go ahead and proceed with parentage and DNA testing,” Gray said. “She wants to remove any doubts that Jerry’s her father.”

But Jerry Jones’ lawyers have countered that he has been the victim of an extortion attempt. His legal team claims that Alexandra Davis has demanded $20 million from him to avoid taking him to court. Davis’ legal team has repeatedly denied those allegations.

In an effort to speed up the dismissal, Jones’ team has argued that the lawsuit was filed in the wrong court. They argue that it should have been taken to family court rather than civil court.

This case probably won’t be going away for a while.

We’ll see if it winds up hanging over Jones’ head by the time training camp starts.
